Customer Account Manager

Based in Accrington, System Hygiene is one of the North's leading distributors of cleaning, hygiene, safety and workwear products. Celebrating over 37 years of excellent customer service, System Hygiene has been a trusted supplier to many of the region’s business customers, schools, restaurants, hotels and sports venues. With year-on-year growth, we are now looking to add talented Customer Account Manager to our growing team. 

As a Customer Account Manager, you will be required to have regular telephone contact with both existing and lapsed customers. It is therefore essential to have good spoken English, a fun bubbly personality and the ability to build good relationships with our customer base which includes business customers, schools, restaurants, hotels and sports venues. 

As a Customer Account Manager, your role will include:

  • Keeping regular contact with existing accounts by telephone.
  • Re-establishing contact with lapsed accounts to regain their business.
  • Occasionally calling new potential accounts where opportunities exist.
  • Increasing sales and customer satisfaction across the accounts you manage.
  • Handling incoming enquiries and responses.
  • Accurately entering account information into the company database.
  • Achieving individual targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

  • previous experience in a customer-focused role.
  • the ability to understand customer needs and identify sales opportunities
  • excellent time-management and be able to juggle multiple workloads
  • some experience in using a CRM system and strong IT skills.
  • a polite telephone manner
  • good written and spoken skills
  • a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service with their accounts.

Salary:

£18,000–£23,000 DOE. 29 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays). Pension scheme.

Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative

Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit a reliable, friendly and experienced delivery driver/warehouse operative to join our busy team based in Altham, Lancashire. Full UK driving licence essential. Immediate start.

Duties will vary from delivering goods to our customers whilst also supporting the warehouse with picking duties, van loading etc. on your return. We pride ourselves on professionalism, punctuality and unbeatable customer service, which has gained us a fantastic reputation throughout the local area. In this role, you will be in constant contact with customers so we expect you to be smart, professional and display first-class communication skills under all circumstances. We will carry out an employment check, DBS check and arrange training on our systems. You will be driving a van from our fleet which you will be expected to maintain in good order at all times. As a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative, your role will include:

  • Making deliveries and collections.
  • Booking goods in/out of the warehouse.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Picking and packing customer orders.
  • General warehouse duties.
  • Complying with all health and safety guidelines.

Experience & Skills required:

  • Steady work history.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Physically fit due to lots of lifting.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines.
  • Must be over 25 due to insurance policy.
  • Forklift licence advantageous.

Working Hours: 
  • Mon-Fri, 42.5 hours per week, between 8am-5pm, full-time.
