At System Hygiene, we are proud to announce that we have achieved Planet Mark Certification, marking another important milestone in our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Planet Mark is a globally recognised sustainability certification that helps organisations measure, reduce and communicate their carbon emissions and wider environmental impact. Businesses that achieve certification demonstrate a genuine commitment to continuous improvement, transparency and creating positive change for both people and the planet.
For our customers, partners and suppliers, Planet Mark certification provides reassurance that sustainability is not simply a statement of intent but a measurable and independently verified commitment. It reflects our dedication to reducing our environmental footprint while continuing to deliver the high standards of service and quality our customers expect.
Our certification is underpinned by a number of significant investments and initiatives designed to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency across the business.
One of the most impactful changes has been the installation of solar panels at our premises, allowing us to generate renewable electricity and reduce our reliance on the national grid. Alongside this, we have begun transitioning our company vehicle fleet away from diesel-powered cars in favour of electric vehicles, helping to significantly reduce emissions associated with business travel.
We have also upgraded our facilities by replacing conventional lighting with low-energy LED systems throughout the business, cutting electricity consumption while maintaining excellent working conditions for our team. In addition, we are committed to ensuring that 100% of our waste is recycled wherever possible, supporting the circular economy and minimising the amount sent to landfill.
These initiatives form part of a wider strategy to continually improve our environmental performance and contribute to a more sustainable future. We recognise that reducing carbon emissions is an ongoing journey, and Planet Mark certification provides both a benchmark for our progress and motivation to keep improving year after year.
