Cleaning Tips for Your Bedroom

Bedroom Cleaning Tips

It can often be a daunting task having to clean and tidy your room, but it’s something that we’ve all had to do since we were little and our parents ordered us to keep our rooms tidy! Now, you probably have to give your bedroom a good clean as well as just putting a few items of clothing away.

Cleaning your bedroom, or any other room in the house for that matter, doesn’t have to be a task that you dread. With these little tips from System Hygiene, you can have a clean room in no time at all!

Make your bed

It may seem like a very obvious job when it comes to your bedroom, but you may be surprised how much tidier your room looks just from straightening out your duvet and pillows. Making your bed as soon as you get out of it might even stop you from falling back into it after you’ve showered!

Keep some cleaning supplies to hand

If you have a spare drawer in your bedroom, keep some cleaning supplies in it so that you are able to do a bit of cleaning whenever you happen to spot some dust or even a cobweb. Cleaning products like cloths or dusters allow you to keep on top of your room without even having to leave it! Likewise, it may be handy to keep disinfectant wipes in your room for wiping down surfaces regularly or other small areas like door handles.

Make sure you have a bin

Having a bin in your room should hopefully encourage you to throw your rubbish away instead of leaving it on a surface waiting to take it downstairs. This can help to keep your room tidier; but remember to regularly empty your bin otherwise you’ll undo your efforts by having overflowing rubbish!

Do little bits at a time

If you really dislike cleaning and tidying, split your room up into sections and do a section at a time. This also works if you don’t have much time to clean your room in one go; you could dust all your surfaces one day, vacuum the next and so on.

Wash your duvet and pillows

If you want to go all out and really make sure your room has that clean feel, don’t just stop at your bed sheets. Washing your duvet and pillows can make a big difference and you’ll love sleeping in a freshly washed bed. This probably only needs to be done every two to three months.
